Remove winner from list after draw - Lucky Draw Plus feature

Image
Remove winner from list after draw When you load your entries file, if you put this setting on, your winner will be removed from the entries list after each draw, so that the same winner cannot win again if you do more than one draw. You will see your number of entries decrease and the winner name disappear for the next draw. This will last for your current draw session. A draw session starts when you load an entries list. Any draws that you do with that same loaded list belong to that session. A new draw session starts each time you load an entries list. This can happen when you: Load a new entries file Leave the draw page, for example to go to the Settings menu Log out and then in again Refresh your browser All of these will force you to load entries again, and a new draw session will start, with all your entries back in the list. To ensure that the same winner cannot win twice in one draw session, put this setting on, and also make sure you have no duplicates in your entries file.

Lucky Draw Plus video - More on images

You want  the lucky draw you create to look great when you run it live for your audience. Maybe you've watched our Get started video on customising your draw look. Here we'll get a bit more technical on the topic, and look at logo placement tricks, logo transparency, and screen layout – which areas to avoid. Your Lucky Draw Plus screen area is made up of a background image and up to two optional logos on the left. We call them logos, but they can be any image or text saved as an image file. You can use .jpg/.jpeg, .bmp, .gif (can be animated) and .png (can be transparent). You upload them in the Settings screen, on the Appearance tab. Use transparent .pngs for your logos if you want the background to show through. Here are our logos on white and on transparent backgrounds. The logo width will be set to 1/4 of your screen width. My screen is 1600 pixels wide, so one quarter would be 400 px. If I used any of the logos on the right, Lucky Draw Plus would resize them either up o...

Lucky Draw Plus video - More on entries

Image
Lucky Draw Plus picks a random winner from a list of entries you need to make. We have a Get started video called Load entries if you need the basics, but here we're going to look at some extra tricks, like short lists, randomising your entries list, and weighting the chances that each entry can win. If you only have a few entries in your list, maybe a small party, the draw doesn't look good. Repeat your entries to make your list fuller. If you put everyone on the list the same number of times, they all still have the same chance of winning.  If you want to weight your list so that some entries have more chance of winning, put some entries in more often. Here my customers will spin for their own discount. I'm putting in one chance of winning 50% off, a few each for the next best prizes, and then I'm letting the smaller discounts have more chance of winning so I don't go broke. Finally, your entries will scroll in the same order as your list if your list is sorted,...
