  You want  the lucky draw you create to look great when you run it live for your audience. Maybe you've watched our Get started video on customising your draw look. Here we'll get a bit more technical on the topic, and look at logo placement tricks, logo transparency, and screen layout – which areas to avoid. Your Lucky Draw Plus screen area is made up of a background image and up to two optional logos on the left. We call them logos, but they can be any image or text saved as an image file. You can use .jpg/.jpeg, .bmp, .gif (can be animated) and .png (can be transparent). You upload them in the Settings screen, on the Appearance tab. Use transparent .pngs for your logos if you want the background to show through. Here are our logos on white and on transparent backgrounds. The logo width will be set to 1/4 of your screen width.   Lucky Draw Plus picks a random winner from a list of entries you need to make. We have a Get started video called Load entries if you need the basics, but here we're going to look at some extra tricks, like short lists, randomising your entries list, and weighting the chances that each entry can win. If you only have a few entries in your list, maybe a small party, the draw doesn't look good. Repeat your entries to make your list fuller. If you put everyone on the list the same number of times, they all still have the same chance of winning.  If you want to weight your list so that some entries have more chance of winning, put some entries in more often. Here my customers will spin for their own discount. I'm putting in one chance of winning 50% off, a few each for the next best prizes, and then I'm letting the smaller discounts have more chance of winning so I don't go broke.   Lucky Draw Plus is easy to use software to pick a random winner live. Change the timing of your draw in the Settings on the Behaviour tab. The draw we just saw was only 7 seconds long with sound in the last 2 seconds, but you can let your draw run for as long as you like. Let the sound effects play for your whole draw, or bring them in just before the end. Change the speed by choosing how many entries will scroll. I have a file with 1000 entries. If you choose a time of 20 seconds for your draw, and you show 50 of your entries in that time the speed looks like this. If you want to scroll 500 entries in that same 20 seconds, the speed looks like this. Play around till you get a speed you like, that suits your event perfectly. Your winner is always picked from your FULL list of entries, even if not all of them scroll on the screen in every draw.   Lucky Draw Plus is about you doing your own draw for your own audience, so how do you make it your own? Let's say you have this background and these logos. Lets go to Settings. Give your draw a name. I'm changing the draw name to white text.  Upload your background and your two logos and save your changes. Lucky Draw Plus will place them on the left one under the other, so the position of the images will change if the logos are shorter or taller. Your other options is to put all the artwork you want into one single background image and switch the logos and name off. This way you can place the logos on the right or anywhere you want them. Make the size of your background image match the resolution of the screen you're going to present your Lucky Draw on. It might not look good while you are setting up on your laptop, but it will look right when you go fullscreen for your final draw.   Lucky Draw Plus is about picking random names or winning entries, so you need to load entries to pick from. Put your entries in a spreadsheet or a CSV. You should have headings for your columns, any name, and  your file can have any name. Now load your file into Lucky Draw Plus and you're ready to do your draw. Your entries can be in any language or character set. We don't store your entries in our database, except for the winner of each draw for your records.. You can use up to three columns in your file. If you have more columns, the rest of the columns on the right will be ignored. It's easier than putting all those thousands of names into a hat!
