Lucky Draw Plus video - More on images
You want the lucky draw you create to look great when you run it live for your audience.
Maybe you've watched our Get started video on customising your draw look. Here we'll get a bit more technical on the topic, and look at logo placement tricks, logo transparency, and screen layout – which areas to avoid.
Your Lucky Draw Plus screen area is made up of a background image and up to two optional logos on the left. We call them logos, but they can be any image or text saved as an image file. You can use .jpg/.jpeg, .bmp, .gif (can be animated) and .png (can be transparent).
You upload them in the Settings screen, on the Appearance tab.
Use transparent .pngs for your logos if you want the background to show through. Here are our logos on white and on transparent backgrounds.
The logo width will be set to 1/4 of your screen width. My screen is 1600 pixels wide, so one quarter would be 400 px. If I used any of the logos on the right, Lucky Draw Plus would resize them either up or down to be 400 px wide. The height would resize proportionally to maintain aspect ratio. Here's how those logos look in the app.
The logos are placed on the left one under the other, so if Logo 1 is short, logo 2 will be right under it. If you want to space your logos out more vertically, make the canvas of the image taller, with your element in the right place inside it.
If you want to put a logo only at the bottom, make a very tall Logo 1 with your element at the bottom, or you can fill up Logo 1 with a transparent empty logo and then place logo 2 underneath it.
Your other option is to create one single background image that already contains all your elements, and switch off the logos.
Lucky Draw Plus uses these areas of the screen to display the winner’s name and to scroll the entries, so avoid these areas for important elements of your design. Not so good with the Lucky Cat’s ears cut off, better repositioned.
